The Tarentaise Valley is internationally known for its world renowned ski resorts, including Les Trois Vallées (Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens). Paradiski with La Plagne above Aime and Les Arcs above Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Espace Killy with Tignes and Val-d'Isère further up the valley. Other ski areas includes Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, La Rosière and Valmorel.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice is a busy town with 3 supermarkets, and many bars and restaurants, as well as a indoor swimming pool.

With the new Alpine Legends ski pass or Ski A la Carte Pass you can access the following resorts on one pass
Access Les Arc using the funicular, ski over to Villandry to access La Plagne via the Vanoise Express Cable Car.
For La Rosiere and La Thule take the free bus to Seez, from the funicular at 8.55am.(10 minutes) returning at 4.45pm
For Sainte Foy , or Val d'isere and Tignes take the Bus from the train station at around 8am (50 minutes) and return at 4.45pm.
To access The 3 Valleys, hire a car from EuroCar in Bourg and drive to Courcheval, Meribel or Les Menuire to access the largest ski area in the world. (50 minutes)
Also a 50 minute drive is Valmorel, beneath the Col De Madelaine, great little resort with a lovely village.
